Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 9 October 2026
These terms apply to the LunchServeJA website and platform operated by Best Jamaican Experience ("we", "us"). A school that subscribes also signs a subscription agreement with us. Where that agreement says something different, the agreement applies.
The service
LunchServeJA lets schools record school lunches, manage student lunch cards, run canteen sales and stock, and produce reports. Features depend on the package the school has chosen.
Accounts
- Schools are added by us. Staff accounts are created by the school's administrator.
- Each person must use their own sign-in, keep their password private, and tell their school administrator at once if they think someone else has used it.
- The school is responsible for who it gives access to and for what its users do.
Acceptable use
You must not use the platform to break the law, record meals or sales that did not happen, access information you have no right to see, try to get around security, interfere with the service, or copy or resell the software.
School data
The school owns the information it loads. The school confirms it has the right to load it and has told parents, guardians and staff how it is used. We handle it as described in our Privacy Policy and our data processing agreement with the school.
Fees and payment
Subscriptions are charged yearly in Jamaican dollars, with a one-time set-up fee and optional add-ons, as shown on the school's invoice. Card payments are processed by Fygaro. If an invoice remains unpaid after its due date and after notice, access may be suspended until it is paid. See our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Availability
We work to keep the platform available during school hours and carry out maintenance outside them where we can. The platform can keep recording meals on a registered device while the internet is down. We are not responsible for a school's internet connection, devices or power supply, and we do not promise the service will never be interrupted.
Independence from PATH and government
LunchServeJA is an independent product created and operated by Best Jamaican Experience. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or operated by the Programme of Advancement Through Health and Education (PATH), the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, the Ministry of Education and Youth or any other government agency. References to PATH describe a programme that many schools take part in; LunchServeJA helps schools keep their own records for it. Decisions about which students receive PATH or other lunch benefits are made by the school and the relevant authorities, never by LunchServeJA.
Our software and brand
The platform, its design and the LunchServeJA name belong to Best Jamaican Experience. A subscription gives the school the right to use the platform for its own school during the subscription period.
Liability
The platform is a record-keeping tool. Schools remain responsible for their feeding programme, their money and their decisions. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to a school in any year is limited to the fees that school paid for that year, and we are not liable for indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending use
A school may stop using the platform as set out in its subscription agreement. We may suspend or end access where these terms are seriously broken. When a subscription ends, the school may ask for a copy of its data before it is deleted.
Changes and law
We may update these terms and will post the new version here with a new date. These terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica.
